The fall session of Catalyst will begin on Sunday, October 16 following our church worship service.
This session will offer Level 1 & 2
*Level 1 is the beginning level of the discipleship program.
*Level 2 is for those who have completed and graduated from level 1.
Catalyst is an intense discipleship program for every student and every Christian. It is a six-level program that helps students to align their mind, heart and soul with the Word of God and to equip them to live a life of service to Jesus for the rest of their lives. During this process students learn things like; how to understand the Word of God, the importance of memorizing scripture, what is their purpose as Christians, how to hear the voice of God, the importance of developing accountability for their personal growth, and how to be used to impact the world for Christ.
Catalyst classes take place in the fall and spring over a 5-6 week period. As students complete a level, we invite them to sign up for the next level, as soon as it is offered.
Matthew 28:19-20 is Jesus’ Great Commission to us. It says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Discipleship is the method of training that Jesus used to prepare men for ministry.
What makes discipleship so much more effective than typical church or Bible classes? The answer is two-fold: To become a disciple of Jesus Christ, you must literally give Him your life. Jesus’ disciples quit their jobs, left their friends – and even their families for a time – to follow Him. They held nothing back! They abandoned their dreams, their ambitions, their money, their reputation and any hope for a normal, comfortable life. But in response, Jesus gave them His plan, His dream, His ministry and, yes, His power. This small group of men – unlike most people in the world – lived the life that they were created to live.
